Chapter 2 ended!
Chapter 2 Finn has just had the best lunch of his life. Okay, more like, the best dessert of his life. After the zombie scare ("There were no zombies, Finn," Rachel said while rolling her eyes at him from across the table) from that morning, Finn was ready for a hearty meal. Thinking of zombies always made him hungry.Uncle Arnold is watching him finish up his third plate of food with wide eyes, shaking his head in amazement. "No wonder you're so big." Finn shrugs and pats his stomach lightly, yawning a little. "I think I'm going to go take a nap." "Finn, I thought we were going to do some vocal exercises and then help out in making some peach jam?" Rachel is looking at him with her puppy eyes, and he hates himself for being unable to resist her. "Oh. Yeah. Right." Finn looked longingly towards the bedrooms... I guess a nap would have to wait till later. They work on their vocals for half an hour (it would be longer if Finn didn't keep saying he was 'getting tired') and somehow he manages to stay awake throughout the whole thing. But then they get to peach jam-making and Rachel leaves him alone with the peaches for a while and it's just too good a chance to not take advantage of. He falls asleep, the smell of peaches surrounding him. As soon as his eyes closed at the scent of peaches, he immediately regretted his decision. He was met with nightmares of zombies attacking him and Rachel. They're running through Uncle Arnold's peach farm and some dark shape is chasing them and it's dark and he trips a lot. Rachel is panicky and on the brink of hysteria, but he keeps his hand closed around hers. They're not fast enough though, and the zombie reaches for his arm, and he feels it touching him. He shouts for help, waking up to find Rachel looking at him worriedly. "What's wrong, Finn?" He's not sure how to reply, so he remembers his nightmare and thinks about the zombie that was chasing them. There was something familiar about the shape of the zombie and it takes him a while to realize it, but... "UNCLE ARNOLD IS A ZOMBIE!" Rachel stares at Finn for a second before smacking the back of his head. "Finn, we've been through this. Uncle Arnie is not a zombie. I think you've slept too much." Finn shakes his head, rubbing the spot she just smacked. And then he gets that look. His eyes turn sad and he gets up, starting to walk away from her. "Ok, fine, you don't believe me..." Rachel reaches for him subconsciously, pulling him back to her. "I'm sorry," she says automatically, feeling bad for hitting him and not at least pretending to believe him. Finn continues to burn a hole into the floor with his stare. "I'm sorry." she repeats, hugging him and holding him close. Finn looked at her and came closer, almost kissing her when the door opened... But there was no one there! Finn pulled Rachel closer to him, eyes glued suspiciously on the empty doorway. Things were starting to get awfully creepy. Rachel laughed it off. "Come on, we should finish making the peach jam!" she called, after Finn still stood staring at the empty spot. "Hey kids!" Uncle Arnold called. "Aaah!" screamed Finn, taking a couple of steps back, looking terrorized. Rachel looked at him, eyes wide open before cracking up, laughing. He sent her a dirty look and stormed out of the kitchen towards the bedroom, slamming the door with all of his strength. Rachel stopped laughing, feeling bad. "You should stop him from watching another Zombie Movie" said Uncle Arnold getting out of the room. Rachel started a debate with herself trying to decide if she followed Finn inside the bedroom or not. __________________
