The Jamie Kennedy in Scream 4 rumors are heating up!. I found a ton of web sites and horror movie sites since last night reporting about it. Apparently, chud.com is reporting that sources close to the production are saying that Jamie has been approached to return, and others claim it's pretty much a sure thing. But how?. Ghost?. Dream?. Twin?. Maybe Randy made another video tape knowing that someone down the line would break the "trilogy" rules?. Who knows. One theory is that Scream 4 will go the "New Nightmare" route, where it will be real life with everyone playing themselves. Most seem to shoot this one down since Wes already did that, and Kevin has said it will be in Woodsboro. If it were real life, there would be no Woodsboro. Plus, Kevin has mentioned where Dewey would be in his career in the new movie. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

In other news, a site says filming begins next month and that they are well under way in location scouting. Wes tweeted that he was in NYC for a Scream 4 casting call.

I don't think it's ever too late if you have a good idea and a good script. I don't know if anyone has been watching Kevin's show "The Vampire Diaries", but he is really on top of his game. There have been lots of secrets and twists and turns. I have high hopes that the steam he has regained with the show has gone into Scream 4.

Basically, I look forward to long in waiting movies like Scream 4 and movies from the 80s and 90s returning with new sequels because the 80s and 90s were when I was little and growing up and going to the movies was something special. We did it a lot. There was a lot more to see. The movies and shows were just better. It's just not quite the same anymore, really. I like going to the theater and having that experience, but there isn't much that really interests me to go. Scream 4 definitley will.

I bet that in Scream 4, "Stab", the movie within a movie, will be coming out with a new sequel in 3D!!!. Or more likely with the current trend, "Stab" will have been re-made in 3D!!!. Lol. I wouldn't be surprised.

Some filming news :

Instead of May, Scream 4 will begin shooting in June. We learned it would be in Michigan, and it's now been revealed that it will be filmed in and around Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Sadly, Kevin Williamson has posted on Twitter that he doesn't know where or how the Jamie Kennedy/Randy stuff got started, saying Randy is "kinda dead." It's still kind of interesting since Jamie posted "Randy Meeks lives" on his Twitter account as well. Was the cat pulled out of the bag too early and Kevin is just covering it up?.

Yeah, I could definitely see Jamie accidentally spoiling it. He knows people love Randy, he'd be excited to be back and Kevin is seriously secretive when it comes to the Scream movies... Oh well, as long as it doesn't cost us our potential Randy sighting, I'm happy.
