A web site called boxoffice.com predicts opening weekend and final box office numbers. They do this by collecting data from awareness and hits on Twitter, Facebook, and so on. They are usually in the right ballpark too. Anyways, they guesstimate "American Reunion" will have a $33 million dollar opening and predict a final box office tally of $96 million.

I saw a poster at the theater for this the other night.

Yes. 2 and 3 also had opening weekends over $30 million. All 3 films grossed over $100 million in the states, with 2 being the most successful. It grossed over $140 million. 1 and 3 grossed just a little over $100 million. I mean, the movie could gross over $100 million, or it could gross less than what they predict. Based on their research, this is what they are thinking, but there can be surprises. Still, if it does that, I would say that's pretty good for a part 4 that is coming out 9 years after the last theatrical film.

i think b ecause alot of people have watched alot of hte films after 3 that werent very good they think about how much they miss the good one and are more willing to go and see it again witht he orginals knowing it will be better rather than if none of those worse sequels came out then i reckon people would be like not another one etc i guess thats the sort of research they did along with research on todays movie market.

I got a surprise today. I got an e-mail saying that Thomas Ian Nicholas is following me on Twitter! Sure enough, "Kevin" himself started following me. I am just dumbfounded as to how he came across me and decided to follow! Lol.

That is so cool. Of all the guys to be followed by 'Kevin' would be my pick :D or Chris Klein's character.
