^ There was a Golden Retriever in Homeward Bound too and Comet from Full House was a Golden Retriever. I'm sure there are more, I just can't think of them at the moment.

I was going to say I think labs are similiar. They make great family pets too. We had a black lab mix with German Shepard growing up. My grandpa had a chocolate lab that passed away a few years ago. I've always had a soft spot for black labs.

As much as I have always loved dogs I never really truly bonded with any of the dogs growing up. Now as a kid my grandpa had a beagle, he had 2 others at the same time. And we always said because at the time it was 5 of us grandkids and 3 girls, 3 dogs. My cousin got to name one so we said that was hers, the beagle name Lady we said was mine because there's pictures of me with her when my grandpa got her when I was mayb3 3 or so. And then my sister got the last one.
But my dog now I have really bonded with. He's my baby. So whenevr I read or see something sad dog related, especially thinking of him dying or having to put him down it breaks my heart and makes me want to hug him and never let go.__________________

Aww, I can understand that, I'm the same way about my cat. I don't know how anyone can just leave their pets behind, it's unfathomable to me.
