Oh I don't know if that's what you call it there, that's just how I learned to call it, lol That's when you live in another country for a year, working and studying  What do you call it, btw? Now I'm the one who feels dumb What is your favorite holiday? I love Christmas and New Years for the family stuff, and I love Carnaval for the parties  Sorry it takes me so long to answer, but just never shows me the posts until a few days later  __________________

Well I learned when a student goes to another country, they're called "exchange" students, and they're part of a program, there are several kinds of those, that's why I called it an exchange program, hehehe
Anyway, mine is Au Pair Carnaval is a Brazilian holiday, it's celebrated in different ways all around the country, in some cities there are parades, in other cities, like mine, there are parties and live concerts, and there are many other kinds of celebrations, depends on the region __________________

Exchange students, at least in the US, is more for highschool students and the term going/working abroad is more of college students or other. At least, that's how I use it.
Au Pair sounds fun. Is it a celebration of anything in particular or is just a big party? __________________

You've never heard of Lent or are you talking about Carnaval? If you mean Carnaval, then that's normal since it's not an American thing.
