Funny I had planned to stop watching NCIS after tonight . yet they hooked me with a big twist cliffhanger with Vance in life-threatening Jeopardy Sloan running into the man who killed her team and tortured her for months … She is hell bent on killing him ..
Not into the new women who is lab tech, hope they change the role . Too goofy for me . Pretty wild finale __________________

i am sorry for what sloan had to endured in afghanistan and that she had to meet that guy again, but i still don't really know why they brought her character in in the first place. to me it is still kind of useless and i wasn't happy for the last ep being sloan-centered. just curious if they get vance back in the first ep of the new season or if it will take a little longer. |

aww interesting how Gibbs went to Shannon's grave. Also how even McGee didn't know where Gibbs was going first. Makes sense that he wouldn't though since Gibbs wouldn't have talked about his first wife's birthday. I like how the whole family has the one plot together
Interesting that McGee met someone who served under his father I was beginning to think Jack's date was going to be the guy who tortured her. Glad that wasn't the case though. Come on Jack, you could've told Bishop who was there instead of hanging up on her interesting Ducky standing in for Jack. I never thought about how Ducky used to watch some interrogations. That could be one reason we had a Jack - so David could do less work Not surprising once it was mentioned the guy could be at the graduation of his son that it was the son responsible. But of course it'd be an easy case as this is just a background case. I almost feel there's too much going on though even though its a simple case? I feel like the end of this episode was rushed? Obviously we'll get more in the next episode/season but they could've broken it up more with the team focusing on Jack's downward spiral & fixation on this guy, chasing her down... ect. then the build up to how Vance was even taken? Sure then its not so much of a surprise in the end to see him but it just felt like they were putting so much into those final moments when they could've brought it out more or solved their other case sooner so the team would then get involved? There's also the random scene with Casie talking to Ducky & Palmer about Gibbs finding out she was doing something for Vance which felt pointless Hopefully there's closure on why that scene was in there in the next season, especially if she is replacing Abby __________________

Finally posting my thoughts on the episode Interesting that some of my thoughts are similar to yours Chelle.
Interesting they are showing Gibbs visiting the Graves of his wife and daughter. Wonder why they have never done that before. Still not really liking Cassie. I really do thing they are trying too hard with her. They should have made the character less quarky. This episode feels out of place. Like, why would the do this now instead of set it up first? But, if this guy is who Sloan thinks he is, then it will be interesting to see how they get him. Well that explains the opening scene. So sad what Sloan went through. Glad she confided in Gibbs and that Gibbs did the same. Ok, wow. Did not see that coming!! Hopefully they can track Vance down before to much happens to him. __________________

i agree with cetain thinks
i like sloan i like that she isnt just another agent that she is someone else to the team another area and i like that she is gibbs friend its a nice thing to have . her storyline is sad but it wont last that long which is good in a way . i like the new teck girll if she will be replacing abby i dont mind cause she really isnt to new , and i dont mind her goofyness abby was just as strange and she came in and out of those moments . the issue is unlike the others her shoes are super hard to fill she is abby a dark princess vance being kidnapped is scary a good twist but out of all the ncis' this was the least wow episode __________________

I 'm on the fence for Casie, I just don't want them too try too hard with her or try make her like Abby. Its just hard to fill those shoes - but in a way so was Tony & they seemed to sort of do that, it just took them a little while...
I like Jack's character too. Don't know if she was necessary to be added in, but she is a good addition at times & I like her friendship with Gibbs Quote:

It was nice to get a bit more about the background between Vance & Sloan. I found it strange that Gibbs opened up so much to Sloan. Ending the season with somebody captured seems to be the go to storyline. I used to watch this show as it aired, or as soon afterwards as possible. This season just hasn't caught my interest. __________________

Yes its odd for Gibbs to open up to someone. I wonder if he has history with Sloane though which made it easier for him to open up? But he is getting better I guess about opening up but it was a little odd
