Episode Summary
Season 14 begins with the NCIS team investigating a deadly car explosion in
Washington, D.C., that is linked to an NCIS special agent who disappeared six
months ago while on a deep undercover assignment in Argentina. Meanwhile,
Gibbs asks NCIS special agent Alexandra Quinn to shadow his team after
rejecting eight agents she instructed and referred for an open agent position.

sounds interesting, but can't watch the video. same problems as last season...


usually i was very excited weeks before the new seasons started, this time i am not the least like that. don't know if i am ready for ncis without seeing tony ever again. it's even worth than losing ziva.
didn't even realize that the new season is already going to start next week.

Yeah. Sorry, I didn't even look for other videos this week, just went with the ones from the official CBS channels so they don't work outside the US

I felt/feel a similar way. I'm excited for shows, but I don't know if I want the channel here to hurry up & air the eps or if I want to hold off having to watch him not being in it . If I feel that way I can't imagine what its like for someone like you who really loved Tony. My favs are still in the show, its just that I know its going to be so weird without him & I'm still in denial about it

I am with you guys. I wasn't as excited for the new season to start because Tony will be missing Although, now that it is closer, I don't think it will be too bad with the new people - at least for me. I like the two new ones as actors and then the one we had from last season, liked the character. None of them can ever fill Tony's place in the show, but I do think it will be interesting to see how things will be done with these three new additions.

They'll be different. People will compare them to Tony but I don't think that they'll write them as filling his shoes. If anyone steps into Tony's role (as the senior agent) it'll be McGee & people already love him so I think that'll be easier. Really we're getting new probies & we've had them before

liked the actor from last season too - had even hoped that he is going to be the one who stays and not the woman, but it is still sad that tony is gone - he was a big part of the show - if you loved the character - like i did - or not and missing him - or ziva, or kate or whoever - doesn't mean i won't except or can't like the new actors.

i wish them luck, but i will definitely miss tony.

Overall I enjoyed the episode more than I thought I would. It was fun to see Fornell living with Gibbs. We got some references to Tony and I liked that McGee was uncomfortable about taking over the desk. It will be interesting to see how the team dynamic changes with two new people. I think I like both Torres and Quinn better than the agents we seen in last season's finale. Also enjoyed seeing Bud Roberts from JAG and the references to Harm and Mac.

agree with with these points, although i heard just one reference to tony not "some" did i miss anything?

watched this ep first, (will continue with nola and bull), because i wasn't really sure that i will like it or if i even want to see it. now i am glad i did although i missed tony anyway.

gibbs and fornell are still like an old couple - nothing has changed.
liked abby being out in the field.
also liked the short muhammad ali mentioning from vance.


might actually like torres, not so sure about quinn.

mcgee (looking at tony's desk): you know, i thought after a few weeks i get used to this desk. still feels strange.
bishop: it's not about the desk, tim.
Mcgee: i know.
bishop: plus, if anyone's gonna sit there tony would want it to be you.
mcgee: thanks.
bishop: anytime senior field agent mcgee.

McGee has Tony's desk now? aww I don't know if that makes me happy or sad. Of anyone I guess I'd rather see him sitting there than someone new but it'll also now be weird to see someone at McGee's desk presuming that'll happen. But that last line & bolded part that is what I wanted to have included somewheree

i expected that he got tony's desk.
but i always wondered why they have to change their desks. when gibbs went to mexiko tony got his desk and mcgee tony's. when gibbs came back they all returned to their previous desks.

Agreed with other things that have been said so far

The episode wasn't too bad. Much better than I thought it would be.

I liked how they brought Quinn into the show and am liking the character so far.

Also liked them saying how Gibbs has a reason for what he does (so true).

The best part of the episode was Gibbs and Fornell Those two are like an old married couple; it's hilarious! Fornell on the couch and not giving it up to anyone

Aww, Yay for McGee moving up to Senior Agent now!Totally understand him feeling weird about taking Tony's desk.

The new agent Torres- all I could think about while he was telling his UC story was Tony and how that's almost exactly what he did with Jeanne. Just a little different, but similar! I am still up in the air about Torres.

All in all, not to bad of an episode. Just very weird not seeing Tony there though.

Furnell and Gibbs is my fav gibbs relationship they are so funny its amazing i love them

Mcgee should get tonys desk he is the senior agent and it took him a long time to get it from Probie to senior field agent so proud
