Good episode with some Tony background.

I enjoyed the physical changes in Tony's and Anton's look between the flash backs and present day.

Abby sure knows a lot of stuff.

I loved the episode!

It was emotional and filled with a lot of background info on Tony.

Tony broke my heart. He's a mess without Ziva!

Delilah won Abby over, I knew she would!

I'd say more, but there's just too much to say!

I give it a major

i liked that episode too. it was a good story and we learned some new things about tony and his baltimore days, but i had also hoped for some more or maybe just different tony-stuff. yes, it was very emotional and everybody felt with tony, but i had hoped for some tabby. "just" telling gibbs wasn't satisfying. don't know how to express my feelings, don't know myself what i really had expected, but i think the topic (missing ziva) is not over and we can see some more of it.

but i really loved abby: calling tony in the bullpen, how she changed her behaviour towards delilah and talking to gibbs in front of the interrogation room (saying "really important" three times in one senctence, asking him if he believes in fate, being part of a continuous circle and her expression when he answered "no").

still: it was a good episode and i try to figure out what i really had expected

He is. It broke my heart as well. I am glad he finally fell asleep at the end of the episode though.

The scene with Tony and Gibbs in the bathroom, with Tony saying nobody even dared saying Ziva's name was so emotional and my favorite scene in this episode. I think the writers are doing a terrific job of writing Tony this season, with him dealing with losing Ziva and all. Makes me want her to come back instantly though *sigh*

I am glad Abby changed her behavior towards Delilah - that poor girl just tried to do her job, and yes, she is dating McGee, but I am happy Abby decided to be an adult about it all and respect her for her work

I must admit I have seen Gibbs a bit more emotional in the past - Tony is suffering in front of his eyes and Gibbs is probably suffering too. He seems a bit distant in this season. Currently, I "blame" it on Ziva having left, but I am not sure that's all there is.

Even though I ship McAbby, I am happy McGee has a girlfriend. Delilah seems nice too.

I think so far, the writers have done a good job of incorporating the random agents into the show. It doesn't feel like they're forcing the characters on us or anything. Very well done!

It was also nice to get some insight on Tony's Balitmore days - I enjoyed the first Baltimore episode, I like going back into Tony's past.

Good episode!

Great episode!

Agree with everything that has been said already

Is it just me or does Delilah remind anyone else of Kate? She looks a little like her I think

Maybe it's my imagination but it almost looks as though the writers are leaving the door wide open for Ziva to return to the show. One can only hope.

Abby REALLY doesn't like McGee's new girlfriend, does she?

so, i rewatched the ep today or at least the "important" scenes. i came to the conclusion that the only thing that i've really missed was either a soft touch from gibbs (like in in "missing"; but meaning it serious this time) or what would have been even better a big fat abby hug.

in addition i have to repeat myself by saying that michael's acting was outstanding again and i came upon a nice statement about that. this is exactly what i've always thought but couldn't put it into words:

The uncontested star of the episode, Michael Weatherly was simply outstanding. There are few actors that have his command of body language or such expressive eyes. In fact, Weatherly is so effective at conveying a wide range of emotions with only his eyes - conflict, guilt, confusion, anger, relief, and of course, angst – he is able to move beyond the script and pack nuance into a glance or hold a full conversation with a look. It is a big part of what makes him so believable as Tony DiNozzo.

Lusty, perennial frat boy is the shorthand with which the DiNozzo character is often described, but the way Weatherly plays him, there is much hidden beneath the surface. The actor brings a necessary depth to DiNozzo; complex layers are revealed sparingly, without which the role would simply have become a caricature over time.

Weatherly really shines with challenging material, and 'Once a Crook' ranks up there as one of his finest stints on NCIS.

don't want to see him when he is waking up again. think he will be sore and stiff - or out of his chair and on the floor.

Oh my, I couldn't agree more! I love the quotes you posted here, nuwanda, thank you! I think Michael doesn't get enough credit for what a great actor he is - people only see Tony's goofy side, but there's so much more to Tony, and Michael gets people to see it

I know I would wake up on the floor

I generally don't care for the character of Tony but I did find both episodes which have looked at his past interesting & well done. Then Michael did a WONDERFUL job with the episode, but on the other hand he'd be missing Cote so that would come into it so part of Tony's pain would have been his real pain of no longer having her there working with them anymore. He also does a good job playing Tony now & Tony of the past, & it is good to see where he was & where he is now, him trying to make amends for his past despite him being really tired. I know from watching someone else who puts off sleep & suffers from insomnia what no sleep can do to a person so I do feel Michael played that really well. He also made me feel really sorry for him suffering over the loss of Ziva. Evil Michael, one day he may just make me like Tony more . Like Steffi, the scene in the bathroom where he told Gibbs that they don't even say "her" name was one of my favourites. But I also agree there's something missing or lacking, Gibbs is withdrawn which I'm not sure if it is to do with Ziva but I'm sure he is suffering & it could at least be part of what is wrong. He lets the team get close & he keeps losing them (Kate, Jenny, now Ziva although at least he knows she's alive somewhere). If he pulls himself away maybe if he loses one of them it won't hurt as much. But you could also see in the interrogation room where McGee was getting curious about how much he could earn by leaving Gibbs clearly didn't want him gone & didn't want to lose him. You could tell that with just one look

I think my McAbby heart is stopping me from warming up to Delilah . I did love Abby in the episode, & how she eventually warmed up to her though. That was well played, & typical Abby not wanting someone there watching over her or telling her what to do while also being jealous of McGee. I think the fact that it was McGee's girlfriend just made it worse for her. But I hope that Delilah is good for McGee as they do seem cute together (regardless of the fact that I don't trust her )

I can't think of anything else to say, sadly I don't feel well & I got really tired while watching the episode so I think there's probably things which didn't really sit with me & that I've missed which is a shame as it was a good episode

So is it not just me, then? I thought I was imagining things, but there is something about Delilah that doesn't make me trust her.
