I don't think his an agent I haven't watch the last couple of episode but I don't think much has changed with that I remember last season he was offered the role but he turn it down cause he wanted to stay a cop cause that all he knows

I wonder if the whole "red herring" thing has something to do with it. Maybe the whole agent thing was supposed to throw, at least, some of us off or something....or maybe the case was supposed to throw us off the whole agent thing......just a thought. I have the CBS app and it was interesting, you can sync your phone with the episode by linking the microphone of your cell to the the app and it "listens to the episode and during the episode it gives you fun facts, quizzes, ect. The one thing that stuck out to me is that they gave a fun fact about the red herring, but it wasn't about the fish, it was about the idiom "red herring". I just remembered that and that is what gave me the idea that I had about the agent thing throwing us off about the case or visa versa.

Sorry, I thought he stated he was an agent. I forgot it was Sam who called him an agent.

I did a search and found that Hetty originally offered Deeks the permanent position in 2x23. But it seems like it came up again not too long ago.

hmm, still think there is a reason why they put that really random thing about the red herring.
