Glad they solved the Deeks situation sooner than later. It would have made no sense to me if Hetty couldn't convince Vance to make an exception for Deeks who has been a part of the team for a very long time.
Get the impression Eric isn't staying, at least not yet. __________________

I got the same impression about Eric ...
 This was a great episode! The first that truly felt like NCIS LA... Cast shared more screen time, and the distance wasn't that obvious... Loved the Callen backstory & his talk with his former brother about settling down. Sam's daughter was back & we saw Catherine too  And the best part is that Deeks can join the NCIS Academy where they'll decide whether he's fit to become an agent ...  Courtesy of Hetty

Episode 5 already did while I was away, I just haven't watched it yet since I stayed with my parents longer than planned. Episode 6 will depend on when they bring new episodes back. Ratings don't actually return here until February so I could have to wait until then, I don't know. Since they didn't pull the shows when the rating period ended (early December) I could get lucky & they'll air new eps still in January

2020 is ending now? That would make them not post-covid
 or was I not meant to pick up on Deeks mentioning how he wants 2020 to end since it sucks?  Hetty pulling strings to manipulate things without explaining sounds about right Eric makes quite the entrance there. He is acting weird Oh no. That is a let down that his creation didn't work. Didn't surprise me though . Funny it was his own fault it happened  I really like the scenes between Callen & his foster brother. Nice what he tried to do for Callen when they were kids I don't really get what they are doing with Eric & Nell. last season it seemed like they were writing her out, now it seems like they are writing him out... Hetty saves the day for Deeks __________________

No, I picked up on it too... And the next episode had a few covid related "jokes" too...
At this point Hetty can get away with anything But I liked the Callen-story too... I don't get it either...  But it's Eric & Nell, so they have been in their own bubble for quite some time now... I think Eric is going to keep popping up at the office without any real reason __________________

While obviously Hetty is absent due to covid, they have her feeling completely canon with her actions still. I like that they've been able to do that. But it probably helps that we're all used to Hetty just disappearing & doing things without explaining them
Callen's story was well done. Sam's part was interesting too. Hope they explore that more I presume it has to do with Barrett's availability but no idea I presume he'll pop in & out for no reason too __________________
