We had a show with a case & the whole show ended up shut down but it was a reality show not in bubbles. I think working in the bubbles wherever possible is the best way to go ahead with filming

NCIS Will Start Season 18 With a Backwards Time Jump — Find Out Why CBS’ NCIS will jump back in time — to November of last year — and then stay there for a bit, when it kicks off Season 18 later this fall. ...when NCIS returns with new episodes sometime in November (by current estimations), following a “big and intense” cold open the show will jump back in time to when Gibbs mysteriously went off the grid in Season 17’s eighth episode. “We had an episode last year called ‘Musical Chairs,’ where Gibbs disappears from the squad room to go on a mission, and then he shows up at the end of the episode with a black eye,” co-showrunner Steve Binder reminded during TVLine’s in-depth Fall Preview Q&A. At the time, Gibbs upon resurfacing never offered up a clear or verified answer as to where he had run off to, but Season 18’s early episodes will fill in some blanks. “We are going to pick up Season 18 with that mission that Gibbs was on, back in time,” Binder explained. And as a result of this timey wimeyness, “We’re in a pre-COVID world for a little while,” circa November/December 2019. Once the multi-episode arc exploring Gibbs’ mysterious mission is complete — during which the rest of the team will be seen back in D.C., dealing with weekly bodies/cases — “We’ll be in a COVID world at that point,” Binder said, though those episodes may not air until February. I had a feeling that we'll learn about Gibbs' day off at some point

& I'm glad to hear that they have something in mind for Deeks (& Kensi) for next season...

(And I love the fact that they are all including Covid and not going to act as if the pandemic doesn't exist at all... )

I love what they're doing to include Linda but not have her out & risking her health. Hope the other shows are treating their actors the same as best as they can . NCIS may be harder if they're not going to touch on COVID just yet, but we'll see. Glad that we'll get answers of what happened back in that episode from last season. Seems like forever ago though & the way they're describing it sounds weird

NCIS is known for filling up the gap between the season finale & start, so I'm not that worried... I'm sure that what they came up with is actually going to make sense

I hope so too that other shows are respectful too with their older actors

I only recall it because they never showed us what happened with Emily & the drug cartel, the last we heard was that Emily was in rehab & the cartel had something to do with Canada

Anyways, the show is not known for keeping loose ends... They always follow up on things, even if takes a long time for it...
