Barney Stinson in Season 1 of HIMYM discussion thread.
So since the post counts have been low, Rach and I decided it would be fun for the summer to have a discussion thread for each season, starting with Season 1. I loved the Barnacle in this season, he was great!

Oh, SO much to say! This season had so much awesome Barney. He was pretty much my favourite thing from the start - Sweet Taste of Liberty was what sealed it for me, I think! I loved him being so determined to take Ted on adventures. I loved the other sides of him we saw on top of the womanizing side - the Laser Tag stuff, the love of suits to the point of taking Marshall to his personal tailor (speaking of which, he's totally moved up in the world since then - random pet store suitmaker to Tim Gunn in five years? Nice!), and of course Game Night! Game Night was such a pivotal Barney storyline. I loved Granola Barney! And the Nicaraguans! Bless

The whole speech about licking the liberty bell is most definitely what sealed the deal for me. Ugh, I still love that scene so much. Its definitely in my top 5 scenes.

Its still one of my favorites, to be honest.
Is Game Night in season 2? I keep forgetting. I love the only give high twos line. |
