I consider this film original. Of course other films have been made about Titanic, but not with this particular story.

I don't think anyone could play Rose and Jack as good as Kate and Leo.

ITA. I've watched other Titanic related movies and they only focus on the ship and how it sank and everything but not of a love story.

I cant even begin to imagine anyone else playing Jack/Rose than Leo/Kate.

yeh i always think this film as the original as well its big-epic-dramatic and i think thats what Titanic (the event) is

and no-one else ever can play jack and rose

i managed to watch part 1 last night awww seriously best movie ever

oh i always get a lump in my throat and tears start to swell up its awful im like 'mum why did jack have to die' but i guess its part of the story

I like it as well.

It is crazy to think that the really incident of Titanic happened that long ago. I think that movie gives it a strange reality that makes it seem less distant.

Thinking about it makes me think about Rose letting go and Jack fading away into the darkness of the ocean.

That part always made me cry.
