It was a windy winter day. Someone knocked on Kate's door loudly, waking her up from her dream. She was worried that something was wrong with her plants. She went downstairs and opened the door and then she saw her best friend standing there. He smiled at her and gave her some flowers which were red and white. Kate invited him in and she went to bring him some cake that she had made some which was lemon and was also a bit big. Kate ate a slice before she gave her friend some. Suddenly she heard someone knocking coming from her kitchen. Kate walked to see what was going on. She was shocked to see Ned and someone walking in with someone that was smiling at him. Kate was surprised to see that her other person was flirting with her friend and she was not the type of person to like other people flirting with her husband. However Kate didn't see them being very good to her, because they were very eager to learn about her times as a struggling woman, trying to succeed as an actress. Kate sat quietly and watched them smile at one of the guests in the kitchen. Then she decided to make some noise which meant she wanted Ned to leave her alone for a few hours, because she needed some rest from the talking about her.
