Angry, rebelling John is not my favourite John, I prefere it when he smiles and isn't so burdened by the weight of the world on his shoulders. All things considered he does accept his fate quite well and is already adjusting to the role of a leader even though he's still so young. I see why they made him so angry last season, it was an important part of his development just like whiny John was important in season 1. Season 3 would've been the season where John Connor starts to kick some serious ass and be the man he's always meant to be. But we'll never see that, now do we. Hmph.

Oh yes, Angry!John was needed too. It annoys me at times but he needed to get away from Sarah and Cameron for awhile to find himself, to see that he could do things on his own too. However, I still think he needs both of them. I mean, he ran off in The Mousetrap and almost got himself killed! He made it but...still.
