I wonder if the month between the pilot for Young Sheldon and then when it continues in October will help or hurt it? I suppose if the pilot does well that's a month to build anticipation, but if it's received poorly, that's a whole month for that impression to last and for people to move on before the next episode.

I guess they're figuring Big Bang Theory's premiere will have the biggest audience as a lead-in to the pilot. Which ultimately probably getting the biggest audience for the pilot is what they're weighing as most important, and just banking on the response being positive.

Earlier I overheard my dad and brother discuss this prequel. It sounds like they wanna check it out, which kinda surprises me because I didn't realize they liked BBT and Sheldon enough to be interested in watching a spin-off about him

I definitely want to see the pilot. I just don't believe that I'm really going to enjoy it for the spinoff it is.
