Snowflake Snugglers #77  Welcome to the Leonard/Penny Thread! The number one place to discuss Big Bang Theory's very own 'beauty and the geek'. [I like] the fact that while they have obvious differences on the surface deep down they are very similar. They are both sweet, loving and caring individuals who are both looking for the love of their lives. - LostInTime I remember that right away, I loved how Leonard and Penny were so different but both sweet, trying to understand each other's world. We could see that Leonard was trying really hard to "get out" of his bubble, and Penny is not creeped out by those nerds, she's all nice and happy. - fantomette  ⁛The Snugglers⁛ ~ Honorary Snugglers ~ ⁛The Friends⁛1. Nitinha  I’ve heard so many people say that what’s wonderful about loving something is that you just do, and you feel as if you can’t explain it because words don’t do your feelings justice. That’s how I feel about Leonard and Penny. - WeBuiltThePyramids I think LP work well together because they have some different qualities that help the other person grow. For example, Penny’s confidence and connection to Leonard’s “outside world” sort of make Leonard more confident. Also, Leonard’s intelligence and goodness have made Penny a smarter and more rational person. - SargeantFuzzyBoots They’re opposites, but they’re also the same in many ways. It was such a simple gesture that had so much romance behind it. But when they met, it changed things so much because Penny loved hanging out with the guys, even when she wasn't as smart and Leonard always had feelings for her. TFTNT! To continue the who will Leonard pick conversation - I think he'll pick Priya, but I don't think he'll ever be full hearted in the relationship and I think eventually he'll have too hard of a time pushing Penny away.

 I agree that I don't think Leonard will end up feeling as much as he did with Penny-despite how he might want to-, which could be a big factor in LP reuniting. __________________

I kind of hope that Priya gets more serious then Leonard so that he can at least feel some of the same fear that Penny felt. But more then anything, I hope when he and Priya end it that he ends its. I don't want to see him get dumped again.

Yeah, I definitely don't want Leonard to be hurt by another break-up. Hopefully, he'll be the one to initiate it.

I'm hoping that it's a mutual break up with Leonard and Priya. That way there is no turmoil between Leonard and Raj. I just wonder what the writers are going to do. Will they break up Leonard and Priya only to have Penny in a new relationship? Since about a 1/3 way thru this season to now we have been seeing Penny starting to show and deal with her feelings for Leonard. Priya was obviously a kick in Penny's rear about how she feels about Leonard. Whatever happens I think that Penny will have to initiate it. In the Cohabitation Formulation episode, the 2 scenes where leonard, Priya and Penny all appear in, Leonard showed no awkwardness or discomfort having Penny around he and Priya. In the apartment scene where Penny came in because she smelled pizza, Leonard hardly paid any attention towards her.

Yeah, I think it's good that Leonard hasn't shown any discomfort in having Penny around Priya; it's making the realization hit Penny even harder, which is definitely something she needs right now.

I like that Leonard doesn’t appear conflicted on Penny or Priya yet. I’m guessing the next episode will have that happening, but I like how if it does happen, it’s because the girls bring it up, and not because of his own feelings. I think for this to work out with him and Penny, Penny needs to realize (and it needs to be so) that Leonard may have actually moved on. It wouldn’t be for good, of course, but as of now he’s not harboring feelings for her, at least not that he’s aware of.
And when Leonard/Priya ends, I won’t mind if it’s mutual, but I wouldn’t mind if he was the one who ended it, either. We really don’t know who ended the Leonard/Stephanie relationship (it was never confirmed and could honestly have been either) and so we’ve never had it confirmed that Leonard ended something. And I don’t want any breakups to happen so in the same episode another couple can get back together. I don’t want Leonard to dump Priya for Penny, or Priya to leave him and then he goes right back to Penny. I want the relationship to end and then have Leonard and Penny (within a few episodes, but not instantaneously-close enough to know that Leonard/Priya made Penny’s heart beat the right way, though) get back together. I just don’t want the haters or neutral people on the ship to consider them a rebound. __________________
