Ugh I'd completely missed that but yeah. Snooze. I could see humorous potential there, but the answer is either "Penny" which is completely ooc or "character we have never heard of or saw only in passing one time" and...why would we care?

If it turns out to be Penny, I'm gonna lose my freakin' faith in these writers because

"Not with a thousand condoms, Howard".

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Her dislike for Howard early on can not be put into words. I mean, they're okay now I guess, but that's it.

edit: I'm guessing it's not her, since there's a female guest star and it's probably her.

The only way I could see it possibly being Penny is if it happened within the first 3 episodes of the series, but the creepy candy coating eventually helped her get over him by episode 5 (that's the earliest she strated rejecting him hitting on her overtly?).

From a "this is our last season and we want relevant storylines," perspective I'd almost rather it be Penny over retroactively inventing backstory with someone we've never heard of.

1. The girl is not an ex but someone he even didn't notice back then
2. it's definitely not Penny
3. It is a random waitress we didn't know existed
