I loved the Lenny scenes this time around - I noticed because I very rarely like the better than the Shamy scenes. I loved how Leonard was taking a kick out of this.
Didn't like the Stuart bashing at all, at least the tag scene was a rescue. __________________

I liked that Sheldon apologized to Stuart but to be honest, his toast was a bit OOC
btw, is Stuart getting a "Sheldon Cooper apologized" Shirt now? __________________

Looks like she was a tad more critical than usual this time. __________________

For once she is not only fangirling around Sheldon and Amy. And she makes some good points.

Yeah, it would be nice if the writers stopped with the "Penny only settled for Leonard" jokes
And she doesn't just fangirl over Shamy - she fangirls plenty over the pregnancy storyline as well __________________

It was a good episode, but not a great episode. I liked the Shamy domesticity, but I suspected from the beginning that Sheldon was using his guests as practice dummies - which is a very Sheldon thing to do, but still kind of mean. I did like that Stuart stood up against being treated that way. In the past, Stuart has not typically shown that much backbone, even when he's very obviously being snubbed, so I'm glad that we're getting some Stuart character growth.
The Lenny scenes were funny, and I like that Leonard sort of took center stage and was the "star" in a crowd of other geeks. The Howardette/Raj scenes I thought were a little flat. The whole minivan thing was much more about selling the product than it was about the characters. I get that product placement is a necessary evil in shows where so many folks skip the commercials, but this was basically one long commercial, interspersed between the actual comedy, which was the Lenny and Shamy storylines. __________________

I think her comments about there being no female fans listening to Leonard just misses the point of the scene. I don't have any problem with the way the Lenny story went in this episode, no problem at all - I enjoyed it. But she makes interesting points about Penny standing up for her relationship and for Leonard. I don't think it's a tired or overused joke on the show, just an occasionally recurring theme, and there's nothing wrong with that. But it would be cool to see Penny respond to this some time, making it clear why she's with Leonard and proud to be. I also don't think her criticism of the lack of PDA is warranted. They've been together a long time, been married over a year. I think the show does a good job of showing their friendship and alliance. __________________

In terms of the criticism of no women being present except in passing, I think it makes sense no girls showed up at the Serial Ape-ist booth. I mean, there are exceptions, but a movie that has bad acting and objectifies Penny in the shower? I don't think that's most women's cup of tea.

I too think the joke of Penny settling got old seasons ago - especially when it's really clear that she hasn't (some, like me, might even argue if anyone settled it was him but that's a conversation for another day). And defending him would have been nice, though she didn't hesitate to admit that he was in fact her husband and it wasn't like she was egging those people on, either. Still, I do want to see her stand up for him.
