Tomorrow there's a huge event here in Lower Saxony, Germany. Amerika is having presidential elections. Yes that's right - the small village of Amerika, Lower Saxony and the approx. 200 "Americans" living there will cast their vote for either Trump or Clinton tomorrow. This is organized by one of the largest radio stations in my area and they will have a Trump and a Hillary lookalike present for the "elections". Allegedly even the LA Times want to know the result.

Nah, I think it's the first time. Though 4 years ago I lived in Hesse, so I wouldn't know for sure.

Small world. Actually I have to go to Hesse today. I have business meeting in Kassel. Unfortunately the prettiest part about Kassel is the Autobahn leading north (to Hannover). Hopefully it won't rain today at least.

I like the park in Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe with the castle and Herkules.

No it seems it's going slow vor everybody. It's driving me crazy.

I asked in the Info Center and there were other people who had the same problem.

It was a bit slow during the last few days but it takes ages to post.

I used to live near frankfurt til september. i miss it a lot but berlin is nice too

The train station Wilhelmshöhe and the office building directly next to it are the only parts of Kassel I get to see on a regular basis. What I hate most is the smog, because the city is completely surrounded by hills and a whole lot if nothing.

Though I lived in Eastern Hesse aka "Hessian Siberia" for three years. Most people who were born there have one of like ten different family names. Everyone is related to each other. Being from Lower Saxony I was the only person with my family name in the entire district. And I do have a family name which is quite commonly found in all parts of Germany.

So if I seem to be a bit anti-Hesse - it's because I've never seen the pretty parts of the state.

Btw, I will be in Hannover in 3 weeks, but just for one day. Our company has a booth at the "Eurotier" fair and I have to help out for one day.
Instead of staying one night, I decided to take the train at 7a.m. and travel home in the evening.
