One of the most violent pits I've ever been in was Coheed and Cambria
That still amazes me. They were the opening act, along with Thursday, for an AFI show i went to. I've seen a lot of shows ranging from punk, pop punk, metal, screamo, rock, etc and hands down Coheed and Cambria was the craziest crowd. |

I'm pretty short so a lot of times I could get pretty close just by taller people letting me in front of them
I loved going up front when I was younger but I can't handle the craziness now. It's a whole different environment up by the barricades. |

A long time ago
The first time I was 12 and I was terrified! After that I waited until I was like 16 and it was much better. Thankfully I've never been dropped! |

Well the first time my older brothers just kinda threw me up on the crowd and I went with it. After that I had friends that would help me up there. And I was just lucky enough to never get dropped

If you make it up to the front security helps you down. And a lot of times if you catch someone's attention before you get to the barricades the crowd will help you down.
