Hmmm, so I think we are officially channeling the dirty thoughts from the pic thread over to this one. But hey, I am all for fairness, so I think that there ought to be a little bit o' naughty on every thread. Now on with the dirty thoughts.

The 'light board' is usually called a white card or bead board - it's actually styrofoam or foamcore or gator board (1 inch foamcore) so it's not as heavy as it might look. But still, getting bonked in the nose when you're frozen would definitely hurt. Actually I'm glad that's all that hit Jason, Jacki, since the others, shiny boards or reflectors, are really heavy - usually about 30 pounds. Still, it made me so mad when I heard one of the grips actually hit the principle lead with the card, let alone it was Jason! That's just not done - such is the world of indy film with cheaper, less-skilled crew. Anyway, they're used on really sunny days like that to fill in the deep shadows - they reflect the sunlight back into the dark side of the person. There are also mirror boards - which are even heavier since they're real mirrors. Then there are also fabrics that are stretched on frames that reflect or diffuse light depending on what you want to see. I could go on but I suppose this is enough for your question, Leslie. I love film lighting, it's still one of my favorite things to do! I have to say, it's something I always loved about Roswell, their DPs and lighting crew were awesome!

everyone.....

Oh and speaking of dirty thoughts! Guess which thread I was at right before I came to this one!!! Yep "Great Minds REALLY Think Alike"

I hope this movie does come out in November! I already miss seeing that MAN! Please don't let my Austin encounter with him, viewing SL, and those streamy bondage pix be the only things to get me through this year!!!!

Thanks for the explanation of various reflection boards LTF. Bonking Jason's nose was unacceptable, but I think it was so cold and so windy, that the poor guy's hands might have frozen and lost their grip - that was the impression I got from the original story.

New D-War poster up at Imdb.com:

(They have a bigger gif version in their slide show, but couldn't seem to grab it.)

Here you go, ML!! Excellent find!!!!!!!! It's gorgeous!!

You're right about the cold and wind but a good experienced grip would have asked for help. You never hit your actors - if you're too cold or it's too windy - you get someone to help you - even if it's the director!

Hmmmm, reincarnation seems to be a recurring theme for Jason.... Max/Zan - John Lennon - Harim......

Here's another translation from yesterday... Looks like this month the contract starts with the distributor so maybe we'll really start seeing some commercials and interviews and promotion here!

Quote:
The core elder brother Rae supervision referring April 15th to
interview the May to come the fact that meaning the time where the
distribution is decided knows, the May to come means a distribution
buying agreement start point of view. The contract is that the process
and method are necessary. 0 month 0th, is not the problem which is
simple is decided one day in morning.

The American branch office casket art will buy and the multi May to
come distribution khen Taeg it will do and the motion picture where
the casket art is like this that it is in the process of producing it
will inform and the motion picture to be completed and the May of the
condition where the casket art separates in thin point of view to come
distribution to burn and to be decided and and.

Completion boat song of motion picture approximately highly thin
motion picture completion in point of view compared to under the
conditions which separate the May to come the fact that the
possibility of doing it is now it decides distribution buying contract
a contract knows, decision is the day thing in the point of view where
the completion is turning out.

Currently the fact which relates with a contract is without well
advanced failure. The motion picture which separates in casket art
completion in the point of view which is turning out, when the
contract comes is decided to everybody common knowledge percentage
plan to wait, will be the news which is good. Thank you.
