My nephew was named to the All-Conference team again this year. So proud of him.

Going to Pittsburgh this weekend and then swinging by Penn State to get my niece after her boyfriend's formal, to bring her home for winter break. I already warned her NO hockey bag this time. Stinky!!

Glad to see Succession on there again, Brian Cox shouldn't have been the nom, it should have been Jeremy Strong. Love that Unbelievable is getting some love in Limited Series, it was the best limited series for me this year, and Merritt Wever is so underrated. I feel like the only reason Big Little Lies is getting love is to get big names in the room...it wasn't good. I'm more a TV person so rooting hard for Killing Eve and Succession.

I have seen none of the nominated movies outside of Hustlers and Marriage Story. I need screeners to leak so I can catch up before awards start.

How much glad-handing and congratulating does one industry need??)

I know the Globes can be fun (mostly because half the audience is hammered and its the only show that feels somewhat unpredictable and "authentic") but I probably won't watch it.

Sorry for being such a pessimist

I generally avoid the intros/jokes (I'll mute them) and tune in just to see the winners. I like upsets and of course seeing my favs win.

Make no mistake if Taylor was up for anything I'll be screaming in his favor on every social media account and defending him to the end.

In the process of making the new rally girls thread I discovered that the introduction first page was half gone. I had to go back to the last intro thread and take it from there, but updating all the links to make sure they're current will have to be a weekend project.

I'm pretty sure it was my fault, I was the last to edit it back around Thanksgiving.

We probably lost them when tinypics went under. Any photos uploaded from there are now unavailable.

It wasn’t the pictures the actual links to all the posts were just gone.

In the introduction thread at the top of the board, all the active threads are listed there...so if you want to find a topic that might not be on the first page you can go there and hopefully it'll link to the most recent thread.

I was the last to update it so I must have somehow inadvertently deleted them. I'll work on making sure everything is up to date this weekend. I added the new project threads right away but I'm sure there are a bunch that aren't linked to the right thread now.

I think I'm finally done with Christmas shopping, now I just need everything delivered. I hate Christmas shopping because it's like I'll buy someone something and then buy myself something. I tried to be better about it this year. I told my mom, I ordered a sweater from Madewell, you're giving it to me for Christmas.

My knee is bothering me so much, both of them kind of ache or were stiff after workouts but now my left knee is super super painful. I don't even know where to start with this, I guess rest and see how it does. I've been icing, I probably need a compression brace or something. I just don't want to stop working out to wait for this to heal. I guess I can just do abs and upper body.

I'm toying with the idea of expanding the Yourdailykitsch account to Facebook? Do people still use Facebook, I know I don't really but I've had some requests and a lot of questions about whether or not I run one...how hard can it be to add one more account? Other than it's one more place to monitor comments and deal with crazies. Facebook seems to bring out the worst...

Haven't done a lick of shopping yet. I decided today that I'm going to get everyone that I buy for the same thing (except for two gifts that I have to get for kids). What that one gift will be, not sure yet but I'll decide by Monday. Thankfully, my fella and I don't really buy each other much as we've agreed to save the money and spend it on another trip together. We did this last Christmas and it worked well (we took our trip to Norway in the summer) - next year, I want to go to the Galapagos Islands.

Sore knees are tough. Rest is always the best medicine but if you want to keep exercising, swimming is always great cardio. I know its freezing where you are and an indoor pool might not be handy but its always my go to when I'm working through aches and pains. If you go with the compression brace, make sure its tight but not so tight it causes swelling.

Don't know what to tell you about Facebook. I rarely use it and really only for business. You can always give it a try and see what happens. If it gets to be too time consuming or attracts too many crazies, you can always reevaluate.

I enjoy gift giving and giving unique items, but it gets harder and harder each year when more and more people are added to my list. But I love the idea of not getting a gift for someone else because you're going on a trip. My best friend and I did that when we'd have a trip to St. Maarten planned for that coming Spring.

I've never had issues with my knees before but this past summer when I started this cross training program my knees started bothering me, just joint pain, I thought. Two weeks ago the joint pain flared back up after Thanksgiving and I thought I'd just push through it like I did before until I did some pulsing lunges and definitely felt something pull in my left knee. I was dumb and didn't baby it and still worked out four times a week and now I think I'm seeing the result of that. I've been icing. I want to go work out tomorrow but I think I should probably just rest.

I did just kind of haphazardly start a Facebook page, though there's nothing on it yet other than a few ACChoir pictures. If I actually dedicate some time to it I'll post pictures from over the years...I always like to have a place where all his pictures can be archived if tumblr were suddenly to disappear.

If anyone wants to follow, by all means, but no pressure either. I know I'm not on Facebook often either.

I’m following your page on FB. It won’t let me like it, just follow.

I have red beans and rice cooking and we’re watching Die Hard. It’s only our second Christmas movie this season. I still don’t have ornaments on my tree yet. Perhaps when the movie is over.

We’re going to walk the trail of lights tomorrow night. It’s UT night, a lot of the lights will be burnt orange.

Y’all...OM finished her finals. She got a 99 on math, and an 82 on French. She is devastated. It took her 89.7 (which would have rounded up to a 90) and dropped her to an 87 for the semester. She’s crushed. It counts for 6 hours. Her final grade in math was 99.7. She wants to move a few points from there to French. We don’t have her English grade yet. She has a 100 right now, before the final.

Hmm, there are other likes, it says I can invite you to like it.

I had a Christmas party last night. My Canadian friend, her parents put on a giant catered party at their house, it's like 200+ people formal wear. It's always so much fun but also requires me to have to stay the night in Canada, coming back over into the US at like 1 in the morning after drinking is not something that can happen. But frustrating that I'm literally 20 minutes from home but can't go home for the night. The party has a shuttle that at least takes us from their house to the hotel so that's nice. But I'm super hungover, we closed down the party and then our group decided it was a good idea to gamble for another hour at like 3 in the morning at the hotel (which is also a casino).

I planned on raking some leaves today since one of my big oak trees finally dropped its leaves but I drove home early and decided to take a nap, which turned into four more hours of sleep and when I woke up it was snowing. Oh well....I'm having a hard time getting motivated to do anything. I was all, going to be good today and make protein pancakes and then of course added chocolate chips to negate any nutritional value those were going to give me. I need about a gallon of water.

OM sounds super dedicated. I wish I was that dedicated in college, haha.

I got some baking done this weekend which is always fun - I'm giving some of it away as gifts so I had to get cracking. Still haven't done much shopping but I've got some good ideas about what to get. I will get started tomorrow and see how it goes. I'm really simplifying this year so it shouldn't be too hard.

Amanda: You probably needed the long nap and as far as being motivated, I'm feeling it too. I truly think it's this time of year - its cold, there is very little sunlight and all I want to do is anything other than what I should do. Its okay to let it be sometimes though ... tomorrow is always a fresh start.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I honestly cannot believe its December 15th. Where did the time go???

OM wanted to make cherry cordial candies. After we started, and she saw the time involved, she’s decided we will never make them again. My Mom said she wasn’t making her signature candy this year and my kids lost it. She’s now going to have all the ingredients and the minions have promised to make the candies themselves when we get there.

We didn’t make it to the trail of light today. BUT, we already purchased. Our parking pass for tomorrow night, so we’ll go for sure. We had a slow day. We did manage to get the rest of the ornaments on the big tree. The kids haven’t decorated their tree at all yet. My in-laws are coming Thursday. They need to hop,to it.
