Emmys are always a little off schedule and set apart from the other awards shows, just because it's only tv. Dopesick came out around the same time of year Painkiller did and just missed the Emmy cut off so it was winning awards a year and a half after it came out essentially.

He actually still may be a favorite because often times Emmy voters take into account other nominations. I would guess that productions that were finished in the first half of last year are probably getting ramped up to be released the first quarter of this year, but the strike probably affected some of those releases.
