Yes, poor Evie. I can imagine how frustrated she felt. That's another reason for why I hate that scene too. And everything to benefit the horrible love triangle  I think some writing decisions were really bad. |

 I agree. So many of those scenes were problematic. The bad soap opera elements are one of the few flaws of the show. Too bad they can’t edit out that scene. It’s an embarrassment. |

Seriously. In the tv of my country fits (still is annoying) but not in Lost. Honestly, they could have done so much better things than that. It's frustrating.

I agree. I’m very surprised that a show of Lost’s high quality fell into the trap of pandering to the soap opera crowd. That tired old love triangle cliche has been done a billion times in every show and movie for over 50 years now. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the relationships, but I think they should have done something different and more creative with the couples. I think they took the lazy way out.

Definitely. They showed they could do many good things and then decided to ruin things with their horrible triangle and fanservice? I understand this tv shows thing is a business and rating is needed, but still... ugh.

You’re absolutely right. We were supposed to get more episodes showing Jack and Kate’s relationship during their 3 years off the island but the writer’s strike made season 4 much shorter than it would have been. I’ll always be bitter about that.
