They deserved better writing at certain moments, but still, epic !

They had some really epic scenes. I think part of the problem was the writers kept the ~triangle going for too long to make shippers happy. It was pretty much over in the last two seasons, but it wasn't official until the last episode

They tried too hard to make fans happy they ended up making them unhappy with the writing. The whole triangle never made sense and the shipping wars were such a waste, if people want to ship any couple that is fine but to fight about it I think makes little sense, the writers will chose the outcome which we can't control and these are fictional characters. Yes we love our couple and you may love one of them with someone else but if everyone liked the same thing or the same couples it would be a boring world but certainly not worth arguing about. Jate was very obvious to me, I could feel that they loved each other but different people saw the show through different eyes, it was sad though that the writers prolonged the triangle and cause such a rift between fans that loved the show.

Yeah, they dragged something that wasn't actually there to begin with . And that's why the other fanbase had so many angry and aggressive fans. Deep down it was clear from the start.

I don't mind people being attracted to people with different people it is when they make it into a competition or something. Just take the story you are given and either love it or hate it.

Definitely a bad choice by the writers I guess in hindsight they maybe would have done some things differently ?

It really tore the fandom apart and then things got weird and it really did not make sense. I hate when they have angst and triangles that do not make any sense

Triangles in general are the worst (they should all just become threesomes ) but yeah when there is a triangle they gotta know when to end it. It doesn't need to be dragged out til the very last episode. I think they didn't want to piss off shippers but they ended up doing it anyway because when you drag it out too long it can make both pairings and the characters involved look bad

Yeah they should have ripped that bandaid off early because both sides were mad in the end. The writers were terrible at writing relationships except Desmond and Penny of course

I can enjoy some triangles, but fandoms can spoil and poison everything, even the writers.
