I was never that into Suliet either tbh though. I think they ended up being good together but yeah... maybe it was the lack of build up. I think I liked them more in season 3 when they were a crack ship

They tried so hard to make the show about couples and throw in some angst but the only couple they wrote beautifully was Penny and Desmond. I just wish Jate would have gotten more flawlessly written without dirtying the water with a triangle. They had such amazing chemistry and the show tried to make angst to break some of that up. It ruined potential for a completely flawless relationship and ended making fans of those ships mad.

I understand why some people didn't like Suliet because it didn't have that much buildup. That's a legit reason. If it works, it's fine by me, and IMO they worked together and she knew him for years.
