However, with all of that said, Ricky did tell Dr. Fields that he is in love with Amy. Ricky is saying the things he's saying because, as he told Dr. Fields, he doesn't feel like Amy wants him, and he wants to feel that from her. He's desperate to feel that from her. He wants Amy to want him the way Adrian wanted him and the way Clementine wants him now.

Yeah its like he's angry at her for not loving him back the way he loves her and is now retrospecting about Adrian as a result. Pity he doesn't know Amy is just as confused as he is and it probably doesn't help that he is one of the people pushing her to do something she isn't ready to do which is get married. Maybe he is scared that if she doesn't marry him she can leave hence why he is pushing but that is only making it worse

Exactly. It's the reason he brought up Adrian's old passion for him and also the reason he's currently so confused about his feelings for Clementine. He wasn't saying he wants Adrian or Clementine. He was saying he wants what they felt/feel for him from Amy.

Maybe they were talking about Ricky . . .but wait no. It says she talks about not wanting to get married or give up school. Maybe in they dying minutes. I see some sort of break up on the horizon until Amy proves her passion or whatever the hell Ricky wants, smdh

I feel terrible for Ricky. I really do. You can just sense the pain in him. He's so in love yet he honestly believes Amy doesn't feel the same way about him, and it's killing him.
