um, posting, watching tv, taking a shower... I really should study, though. Getting through Yusuf (the 12th Surah in the Qur'an) is taking me ages... Part of it is that it's written in 4 different voices from what I understand (the narrator, "we"/divine, specific persons, and personal asides). I much prefer the 55 al-Rahman (the Merciful). It's shorter, to the point, and seems a bit more, I don't know, touching.

A surah is, essentially, a chapter in the Qur'an. I have a book that gives us transliterations and we're supposed to compare them or some such nonsense. The first one is due next week.
