If you are in a hurry or don't want to wait hours in gridlocked traffic, the Subway is the best way of travel. A lot of actors travel on the London underground for the same reason.

I've never been on a subway. We don't have them here as the cities east of Quebec aren't big enough.

They can be pretty dangerous sometimes...especially in New York City and Chicago.

We had no bother on the New York subway. Most are just people getting from A to B. The streets around Times Square are a bit dodgy as there are a lot of hustlers trying to part you with your money. I suppose it depends which area of NYC you are in as to how safe you are.

It's not too bad during the day, but a little iffy at night, I guess depending on what part of town you're in.
