Last Sunday, I went with the FaM to 2econd Stage Theater to see the newest play from Lydia R. Diamond (Stick Fly). "Smart People" stars Joshua Jackson, Mahershala Ali, Anne Son and Tessa Thompson. (Dir. Kenny Leon not pictured) The show, a cerebral and intelligent exploration of race and identity, is a must see for EVERYONE!

So I haven't been on here in FOREVER, but I've stayed a fan of Josh's for the past 13 or so years. Anyway, I saw Smart People on the first preview - I see you guys posted pictures of me. I kind of wish permission had been asked before you posted, but whatever. I know people like to see them.

I just wanted to write (hopefully this is the right place) and say first of all the show is amazing. SO smart & well written and Josh was of course fantastic.

And secondly, this was my first time meeting him - and though they say never meet your idols, he wildly exceeded my expectations and was so genuinely kind to me personally, and then to everyone there. He said some really sweet things to me which I'd like to keep private. He also wouldn't stop talking, but that just adds to his charm! And he came back over to me and took another photo when he realized he had been talking all the way through mine. Also just a quick funny story - one of the girl's that was there (and hopefully she doesn't mind my sharing but it is just too funny not to) said "you were the theme at my birthday party" to him to which he started hysterically laughing and said "I've heard A LOT of things in my life, but I've never heard that one!" Then he asked about the details and she told him her cake had his face on it. You could tell he really did get a kick out of that one! As did the rest of us.

Anyway, just wanted to let y'all know that. And go see the show if you can! I suspect you won't be disappointed.

First off, my apologies for posting pics of you. We like posting any and all Josh pics that are seen on Social Media and that's a tough call since they are already out there. If you want us to remove them, we will, but you will have to let us know which ones they are.

And I would like to thank you for the update on your encounter. We love stories like that and it just enforces what we love about him. He truly is an awesome individual.
