i grew up in new england have traveled extensively throughout there and in NY/PA/NJ. i always laugh when i see shows that were set "in" those areas but filmed in CA (especially since i lived in CA for 3.5 years and know the LA landscape very well!). those very specific LA hills that look nothing like the north east. :lol:
i notice it for when shows are filmed in vancouver, too, but some shows do a better job about disguising their filming location(s) than others. :nod:
a few months ago i was sitting in a theater watching a horror film ("the night house") and i kept going, wow, this looks SO familiar! turns out it was filmed around where i live now in central NY. :lmao: "a quiet place" also filmed in central NY and i recognize the area in the background very well.
