The one pepper plant in my garden has a tiny little pepper on it. I'm anxiously waiting to see if my broccoli and beat the heat.

The jury is still out. The plants are growing big an healthy, but they don't have any heads yet. Thankfully, they also don't have any bugs yet. If they can hold out until mid to late June I may actually get some broccoli.

Took the dog to the vet again today. She's got another ear infection. It's probably due to some sort of allergy so I'm going to be working on finding out what that might be.

The vet wants to put her on a prescription diet. That's not only very expensive, but the main ingredient is chicken and I already know she doesn't tolerate chicken well. Plus the other main ingredient - in fact, the FIRST ingredient - is corn starch, which is crazy. I can do way better than that.

I think we cooked about 20 pounds of meat for 5 people. We figure if we go to the trouble of firing up the grill, we'll make it worthwhile. Then we freeze the leftovers and we can occasionally have food that has that grilled flavor without all the fuss.
