I'm pretty sure he is not asking Naomi at all - if you watch the promo you can see Ethan standing next to the lockers while he is asking the girl (probably Annie) out and while he is talking to Naomi he is standing in the middle of the hallway.
So I think the CW is torturing us with this promo
