And it's not like the CW is incapable because there's shows like TO and Reign that continue to blow me away but the writing for 90210 was just way off for the most part

Even Tomorrow People put the 90210 writers to shame, and that's saying a lot because TTP was all over the place sometimes.

The promos for 90210 were terrible. That was a huge problem after season 3 imo.

Their promos were absolutely terrible. The weekly promo should show bits and pieces of the best part of the ep to give viewers something to tune in for but they made their promos look like such fluff pieces

Exactly. They would have a slap or a break-up, then promote it as a comedic moment. 90210 was never billed as a comedy. Then, a lot of us were shippers but they'd make the ship look awful in the promo. Who wants to watch an ep when they show them cheating or fighting? I never got that.

Exactly. I mean, 90210 was supposed to be a drama series but the promos made it look like it belonged on Disney

I know so many people that didn't tune back in until they saw the promo with the Navade kiss toward the end of S5 and they pretty much all said that they steered clear because the promos made it look like they were all just doing each others hair and playing on the beach

They always made the promos waaaay to light imo. If you look back at the BH90210 promos, you could always tell you were in for quite a show

For example, the Maizy ep should have had a promo including Ade's "you are not going to raise my daughter Silver" line in it and then added in the part with Maizy missing..That would've made it look much more dramatic but it's always such fluff in the promos

I remember when that promo aired and people thought Adrianna was being evil and taking advantage of Navid. That just shows you that they weren't tuning into prior eps or that the writers hurt her rep so much, that's where their minds went.

I loved the old BH90210 promos. Like I still remember the one from when Brandon/Donna were trapped in the TV station with that lunatic. That was intense. Same with Kelly's cocaine arc. FOX knew what they were doing.

Love the Maizy idea. They should've hired you!

Yeah, I think a lot of people didn't actually tune in to see the facts but I can see the Anti-Ade viewers saying that about her taking advantage of Navid, just because they're seeing what they want to see

I remember that promo for BH too, they totally knew how to sell a show
