Alright. Maybe I'm asking too much out of this show, but I'm just going to lay it all out on the table. I had a lot of problems with the development of the storylines in this episode, particularly character and relationship development, and then some continuity issues. It wasn't a bad episode by any means, but it felt rushed and disjointed compared to the first two eps of season 3.

Dixon? You need to shut up. Seriously. Out of all things to flip out over, it's Ivy's lie about her virginity? It's really none of his business what she does with her body. Dixon's lied about much worse or withheld information that is much worse. It was ridiculous to compare his family dramas and problems to this.
I don't get this situation with Ivy's dad. I guess it's linked to her "white picket fence" mentality, which I kind of liked, but it just seemed too convenient to me. Plus I feel like there's a big hole in the story. Why did he reject her? Luckily, Tristan and Gillian were up to par and delivered a great scene there. But I can't help but compare it to Silver/Dixon's talk in the Lucky Lanes ep. It felt more genuine and it did a better job of developing Silver throughout that episode. With Ivy, I felt it was shoehorned in there like an afterthought.
Buttt....two adorable Ivy moments: skateboarding through the halls, and her tippy top blonde buns. Ivy's style is never boring.

Ugh, like some of you, I wish Ade was back in school. Annie coerced her to come on a lunch date? Really, show? I'm all for an Ade/Annie friendship, but it makes WAY more sense for her to visit Navid. The heck? They could've said she came by to see her boyfriend, but he ended up having to work at the Blaze. Navid can't be mentioned by his gf or his best friend? No development in the friendship of Annie and Ade. The scenes with those two and Silver were pretty good, though. Although, I had bad flashbacks to Gianna because of Ade's dialogue. No thanks, Ade.

This whole "stealing the music" plot is ridiculous. Why would Adrianna be so happy that it got on YouTube? I expected to see way more flickers of her conscience when Laurel called with the news. They're doing their best to bring back evil Adrianna, but it's not entertaining. Her music career is NOT entertaining and they're making up random ways to seperate her from the group. FAIL.

Also FAIL...Harper. She takes the tiara away from Gia for the worst Blaze kid ever. I wanted Silver's finger gun to be real so she could lay Harper on the floor. If she only showed up once, fine, but she kept showing up. Baah!

Now Ian and Cassandra....I liked these additions. Cassandra brought out some Naomi snark, which was great, and Ian's cute as I don't know what.

Hah, Teddy. First, he has to do a huge essay because Cannon's jealous, and then he has a drunken hook-up. That shot of Teddy vomitting on the floor was epic. But I guess someone else will clean it up. :/ Cause Teddy don't clean puke.

I wanted the whole Silver/Cannon/Naomi thing to be a lot more tense. It didn't help that back in the spring I was laughing at "but the homo sapien is the most brutal animal". Too much. Way too much. Dial it back a bit. Then she dropped the tea and made up some lame excuse. I still feel like they needed to have another scene before she casually goes to his apartment. The mentor relatonship is very weak to me and that could've elevated the plot even more.
AL rocked in this ep again. I liked how depressed she was in her testimonial and how out of it she looked during the sleeping pills scene. Just a thought. I thought it would be way more poignant if Ade found Naomi passed out, and then when Silver came, she saw Naomi on a stretcher and felt guilty. I mean, I think it would shape two friendships if both of them were at the scene. Of course that would mean involving three people at a time, which this show rarely does.

I found Liam so lame in this ep. He could be a lot snarkier. Instead, we got some bit about Teddy being fat? People keep calling him Dylan McKay, but Dylan had more wit. When they asked what he'll be doing in ten years, he should've said something loner-like like "being glad I'm not in this school" or "not doing some stupid interview". That's what season 1 Liam would say. Mehhhhhh.

But my biggest problem is with the donor egg plot, because I was actually looking forward to it. They haven't built the relationship between Annie and Katherine AT ALL. Do they just want her eggs because she's pretty and hard-working? It reads very superficial to me. I expected to see them bond throughout the ep, but instead we get talk of swingers and boyfriends, and...it's just so random. It's a lot to ask out of a person. I'd rather Annie have gone to the barbecue, maybe saw some pictures, and started talking about their home, family, etc. I know they're balancing a lot of plots, but this is a really important one.

Oscar can act, but the writing makes me not care about his history. It's a shame. I don't even care enough to go into depth about his hand in things.

No Navid? Womp womp. Then, he gets sold for a dollar? Burn. Luckily, he's wearing a fireman's suit.

Laurel looked like Morticia at the funeral.

Ok so yesterday's epi. didn't suck. I actually paid attention to most of it. First off I'm glad they really focused on plots
and SL movement in this epi. Lets start w/ that scene w/ Naomi tossing and turning in her bed, I would have liked had they wrecked her hair, but you deal, she's hearing Cannon's voice w/ the most important thing he told "who's gonna believe you, you're the girl that cried wolf" People don't like Mr.Cannon but what a great villain voice. Then we have Teddy waking up in the morning
(T-Mo looked horrible in that lighting, MPO) but he realizes he had sex w/ someone and throws up.

The trio of guys minus Navid, who I guess doesn't go to school when he feels like, I mean srsly? anyway they are in Cannon's class, this is gonna be interesting, ppl are gonna overlook it but those three guys are in his classroom as a plot device, glad they did that. Cannon was trying to keep Teddy and Silver away from ea. other (Thank god for him) but he was completely rude and jerk like w/ Teddy/Dixon/Liam...I'm guessing the empty desk was Navid's.

Annie/Silver/Tracey Flick who I for some reason liked b/c she brought out the old Silver in a way, do yearbook montage, it was fun, Liam saying if he ain't alive about Teddy getting fat and Annie saids "happy" *snerk*, Dixon record producer, music, about time he focused on something. Anyway Adrianna just pops up in school outdoor cafeteria, b/c she can do that you know? So we have a bit of focus on Ade/Annie/Silver which I like b/c you have to show that this bond isn't a joke, and they had good scenes together, I enjoyed thier dynamic, Annie is the 'calming force/common sense' girl in that group, yeh I know, Adrianna is the 'try anything just once' girl, srsly didn't she sound that way? and Silver is the 'go w/ whatever flows' girl.

Lets see Dixon/Ivy/Oscar, surprisingly not bored by it. They are making sure they don't shove her down our throats, hence her not having any of the main girls as bffs, she's like some like some skateboarding female Bart Simpson, I can honestly say in H.S. I never knew a girl like her. Anyway I got to say one of my favorite lines was when she compared Dixon to a puppy that pees on your couch but you can't stay mad at b/c he didn't mean to do it. I spit Pepsi at the pillow on that one. Dixon goes cold on her, and ppl are like.. why? he should be happy, no she lied, he's had mostly ppl that lied in his life mom/dad/Annie/Debbie mom/worthless Harry/Silver/E-Tool...now someone he opens up to about his past, tells her everything, ofcourse he'd be pissed, Ivy smacking Oscar w/ the newspaper like he was some dog was interesting.

Silver getting stalked by Cannon, wow, even I'm creeped out by him, but what freaking idiot, who the hell goes to a teacher's apartment? srsly Silver..no matter what it's NO!

Oh and record producer finds out Adrianna stoled Javid's song. Naomi starts poppin' pills some girl w/ a nose job gave her, Silver at Cannon realizes b/c she remembered the homosapian comment by Naomi that she was indeed telling the truth, she was raped, b/c how would she know that line of the movie if Cannon said no one has seen his special movie, Mr.Cannon was also on the edge, cracking pills, sliding it into tea, even I wanted to kill him, it sucks b/c sonofabitch is a hawt ass teacher.

FFWD...

And this is 90210's strength, it shows sometimes but in this epi. it showed more than good. The ENDING MONTAGE

Ivy pulls up to this house, white picket fence, so nice, Dixon all WTF are we doing here... she tells him that she hasn't opened up on to him b/c she's afraid to be vulnerable, and that's b/c the last guy she was with that made her vulnerable rejected her, this is his house..we're thinking like Dixon, bitch did you bring him to your ex.'s house? no here's the twist, her dad's, 10 mins. away, new family, wants nothing to do w/ her. Dixon was so sweet and caring there. We then show Oscar finishing food at the club, picture falls out, waiter is impressed by the pic, "Nirvanna concert...the guy to the right is my dad, the woman is the bitch that ruined his life *Ivy's mom*" ..we then show Teddy all happy, about to go find Silver no doubt and random hot guy comes to him, and tells him "Don't worry...I won't tell anybody we hooked up" .. cut to Silver finding Naomi Od'd on pills, past out on her couch or bed...end of epi.

So all in all the episode didn't suck. I wonder where Navid was, but I didn't really think of him until the epi. finished. Usually Navid/Dixon are hangin, today they showed Teddy in Navid's place w/ Liam and Dixon.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I didn't buy that Naomi would just take sleeping pills from a random classmate. That just went over my head. I know she's desperate, but you can get sleeping pills over the counter if you really want them and unfortunately STILL overdose. She was combining them with wine so either way, it'll have an adverse effect.

Naomi is becoming my favorite character, her struggle with what's happened to her really make me care for her.

I still don't know how I feel about Ivy/Dixon, they're a bit meh.

Silver finally opened her eyes and realized that Cannon is a psycho! That was a close one!

I knew Ade was gonna get busted, she couldn't possibly get away with the songs' stealing, I just wonder what the producer will do with her.

Annie's boss wants her...eggs? That's weird and totally awkward.

Next episode looks fun!

I think she would. Not like the girl was shady or anything and Naomi knew her obviously from the nost jab. And it looked like she didnt plan on taking them until she was desperate for some sleep. Though I do kind of wish it was Adrianna who had found her since it wouldve been right up her ally.

But Naomi didn't like her...at all. That's like me taking some prescription pills from a bully who just insulted me. It's realllllly easy to get sleeping pills. I can tell you that for a fact. I just think they wanted a way to introduce Cassandra, who again I really liked as a character.

She didn't like her?? she was just rude to her, the girl basically told her she looked like she hasn't slept. Naomi's a H.S. girl, H.S. ppl, some rich brats are lazy, that's how they are writing that part, yes normally you don't take those pills from anybody. She's desperate for sleep, doesn't seem like she's going to a pharmacist, it's convenient for her, what she may need she got it on that day in the bathroom. That's all that was. The girl that gave it to her is alive, so all Naomi is thinking there is 'oh WTH'.

To take anybody else's prescription is idiotic. So is chasing it with some wine. And the fact that it was convenient for her to get it makes the storyline more idiotic. For someone who watched their best friend nearly die from drugs, you'd think that would cross her mind. And I didn't know rude = not liking her were two different things.

I liked seeing Annie/Ade/Silver without Naomi for a change, even though I love the trio. Yeah, Adrianna's SL bored me tbh, but I loved everything else that was going on.

- Cannon scares the crap out of me. Seriously, he knows no boundaries. It's kinda interesting though that he felt guilty about drugging Silver, when he clearly has no remorse about Naomi... I guess in some twisted way, he must have thought Naomi deserved it. And I dunno, for me it doesn't seem that OOC for Silver to go to his house, she's a very trusting person. I liked that they had Naomi watching his documentary as a plot point though, good foreshadowing

- Dixon/Ivy kill me, they're so cute. I loved Ivy skating round school I even like Oscar! He's a good actor (terrible accent though) and I'm pretty interested to see where his SL goes.

Rude b/c the girl told her she looked like she hasn't slept in a week. Naomi insulted her on her nose job and then apologized, if she hated her or didn't like her she wouldn't have apologized.

No, Naomi was rude TO HER. So no, I don't expect her to accept her post-surgery pills. Naomi won't even let certain people into her birthday party and she'll let foreign pills into her body. I still think my suggestion makes a whole lot more sense, but they did have to introduce what'shernose, so there you go.

Prescribed put you to sleep pills. Pills and birthday party, different things for Naomi, her party, again Naomi is superficial, she's written as the type that takes more time matching outfit w/ her cellphone color, or picking out a dress for the mood than to go to a pharmacy and get some over the counter pills. It was told to her they would work, she took Cassandra's word. Well it did work.

Naomi wasn't letting those people in because she didn't think they were cool enough, not because she was cautious though I dunno, I think normal Naomi wouldn't have touched the pills in a million years, but being so sleep-deprived and traumatized it makes sense that she'd be willing to do anything.

Yeah, but would she take the pills if she didn't think highly of Cassandra? Again, she'd be as equally dismissive of the consequences if she got the pills on her own. It'd be her own stupid mistake. The audience certainly doesn't know Cassandra or the relationship between Naomi and Cassandra. Ade will take anything from anyone. Naomi, after lecturing Ade about it? Not so much. Why would she take Cassandra's word? That makes no sense to me. Again, rushed and convenient. Whatever works, I guess.

Looks like EW had the same reaction I did....

But Naomi's storyline (overall) is the best thus far.

Hi all, overall that was a great ep last night, the writing has improved ten fold. Ethical question seems to be, would you take the pills from that chic ? My answer would be hell yes. If you were in pain at work or school and some one you knew in passing offered you a wack of Tylenol no.3 with out going through the trouble of seeing a doctor would you? I love the way ''Star and May'' can have a disagreement and hash it out in a respectful way, that is refreshing to see. Naomi has really grown on me this season, well done. I cant believe that Teddy is becoming likable to me. Annie so reminded me of season one Annie, funny, naive, and cute. Silver is reverting back to her old self slowly. Cannon is a mucked up scary twisted dude, and it is going to be nice to see him get his. I find Liam and Ade boring so far. I really feel bad for Navid, always left out or flying under the radar. As for Divy, I can see why Dix would be angry with Ivy, he sees her as his world, his motivating force, and his stable rock, so he feels betrayed and hurt she would tell Oscar instead of him her secrets. Great scene at the end when we find out she is not the stable rock he thought she was. Nice touch to have her open up to him finally. Again Star and May, I enjoyed both of your recaps.
