Cool, I did enjoy the Harry/Dexter interaction we saw in S1 and parts of S2 but I'm mad he lied to Dex

I know, I haven't really been able to make up my mind on Harry
But with all the flashbacks and the Harry in Dexter's mind, he seems to be sticking around __________________

I don't think he is going anywhere .. I mean, Dexter still lives by his code. I can't make up my mind either

Definitely a good thread topic.... the whole complex father/son dynamic that is still very much a part of Dexter's life even after Harry's death...

I like the fact that even though Harry is dead, Dexter still imagines him and looks for guidance from him. In season 3 we saw Dexter ignore Harry's imagined advice about not getting involved with Miguel. In the end, Dexter realized Harry was right and will probably still seek his approval in his own mind.

I've liked it too. Gives some insight, and their dynamic can be quite amusing also.

Do you think we will have flashbacks to Harry in the next season or will it be like S3?

I wanted to throw out an idea that I've been thinking of as of late and I think this thread might be the most suitable place for it. So Harry took Dexter in when he was a little kid after his mother's death because he knew that if he didn't teach Dexter how to control his darkness, he would end up a criminal, basically. But I wonder, how did Harry realize how dark Dex's 'dark passenger' would be? Like Harry knew that Dexter would have an ever present urge to kill, and he knew exactly how to formulate a set of rules so Dexter would never overstep his boundaries, but how could Harry have known Dexter was going to turn out that way? I sometimes wonder if a similar event happened in Harry's life that created a similar dark force in him. Maybe that's why he became a cop perhaps, to channel that aggression out. This is probably just all in my head, but I really wonder sometimes __________________

I guess we'll never know though seeing as the show isn't interested in Harry's back story __________________

It would be interesting to have an episode devoted to Harry's past. I'm interested in knowing if the 'born in blood' theme started before Dexter, with Harry. __________________
