Synopsis

"Huge," based on a book by Sasha Paley, was written by "My So-Called Life" creator Winnie Holzman and her daughter, Savannah Dooley. Described as "Glee" meets "Ugly Betty," the series revolves around six teens and the staff at Wellness Canyon, a weight-loss camp. It centers on Will (Blonsky), a funny, opinionated overweight girl sent to the camp by her wealthy parents who own a chain of fitness centers, and Amber (Hasselhoff), a curvy teen who is the skinniest and hottest girl at the camp but who considers herself too heavy. Eckhouse, repped by Main Title and attorney Arik Betesh, will play a college student working as an assistant fitness counselor who has a secret affair with Amber. Caldwell will play the leader of the thinner, popular boys among the overweight camp population.

Surrounded by svelte starlets, David Hasselhoff’s teen daughter Hayley Hasselhoff reflected on the pressures of fitting into young Hollywood, with its leggy standard. While others stuck to skintight leggings and black blazers, Hayley looked cute in a pink dress. The actress is filming TV series Huge, about a weight-loss camp. “Girls need to realize that voluptuous is just as in,” she said. “It’s just that people don’t really advertise it as much. I think it’s because they want people to think you have to be a certain way. It isn’t reality. It isn’t life.”

David Hasselhoff’s daughter, Hayley Hasselhoff, recently talked about the upcoming ABC Family Series “Huge,” which is set to premiere on the channel June 28th. Hayley said: “It’s a show that really comes in there and says you need to look at what’s inside to really change what’s outside. These kids really learn a lot about themselves, and go through a lot of emotional turns.” She even says that the show will help kids to realize that “It’s okay to be voluptuous.”
