I think that he is really sweet Nonna, but I think that he is blinded by the Hollywood lights right now to see anything too clearly to be honest.

I agree, Chris...obviously Nikki sees something in him that we dont...I've been told by others who have met him that he's cocky and stuff...but again, Hollywood can make you seem like one thing, when you're not...It can be a very dark world, with limited lights to shine their light (aka Nikki)

I adore Zac, but I don't necessarily think that he is thinking clearly. He says that he wants to get away from the Disney image and do things that are more edgy. I just wish that he would prove it with his actions instead of his words. Sign on for some really dark and gritty roles, things that nobody would ever expect from him. Do something in his life that nobody expects. Before anyone has a cow, I don't mean break the law, get drunk and high, and party with the likes of Paris, Lilo, and Brit, or become a father at such a young age. Just do something that makes people say wow, I never expected that from Disney's golden boy! It is time to be a man in the eyes of his fans, not the HSM teen basketball star that always gets his way.

With that being said, I think that they should write Hairspray 2 for a more mature audience and up the rating to be honest. Zac really needs to move out of the G-PG ratings. This is the way for him to be noticed by more mature fans, and gain a more diverse fanbase. He needs to break into the fans that include men from age 20-50. He already has the women.

I don't want him to alienate them completely Nonna, but he has to start breaking in a new fanbase. Most guys won't want to see CSC because it will be known as a chick flick. Let's be honest, he needs to do something darker now to get some men to follow him too. He got the kids with HSM and the women with Hairspray and 17 Again, so now he has to do something to get guys to start watching.

I really wish that they would just quit dragging their feet where Hairspray 2 is concerned. I am dying to see what happens in the sequel. They need to stop talking and start writing so then they will be able to start filming already.

I know.....it is taking forever! Just like Waiting for Forever is. What is the deal with that? I really wouldn't think that coming up with a sequel for Hairspray would be that difficult. They have the war as a backdrop so to speak, and the continuation of life after high school and the Corny Collins show. Relationships can blossom between Seaweed and Penny and Link and Tracy. There are just so many possibilities, so I don't know what the hold up is.

It makes me happy as well Val! Whenever I feel bad, I can pop in the DVD, and I will have a smile on my face with the opening scene. I love the close up of Nikki's eyes. She has the most beautiful brown eyes!
