Thank God, I would hate for him to get bad roles. I want his career to continue when GG is over.

Lionsgate is boosting the male cast of "What To Expect When You're Expecting," adding Chace Crawford ("Gossip Girl") to the motherhood comedy.

Crawford joins Rob Huebel ("The Other Guys") in the cast and will play a character who reunites with an attractive old flame (Anna Kendrick) after a turf war between their respective food trucks. Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker and Elizabeth Banks have also been cast.

Lionsgate has selected Mother's Day weekend next year to release "Expecting." Shooting's expected to start in mid-summer.

The minimajor acquired feature rights to Heidi Murkoff's bestseller from Phoenix Pictures last year and put Kirk Jones on to direct in March. Heather Hach wrote the first draft and Shauna Cross ("Whip It") penned the final draft in which the focus is on four interconnected couples.

Mike Medavoy, Arnie Messer and David Thwaites are producing, with Doug McKay co-producing, through their Phoenix Pictures banner. Heidi and Erik Murkoff will executive produce along with their literary manager Alan Nevins of Renaissance Literary & Talent.

Crawford's in "Peace, Love, Misunderstanding" and "Responsible Adults." He's represented by Eric Podwall of Podwall Entertainment, CAA, and attorney Gretchen Rush.
