As we have discussed this is the definition of Edward Cullen. Jacob could never be half the man that he is. He doesn't have it in him to be as selfless as Edward is. He puts his own wants and needs aside because the only thing that matters in his life is Bella's happiness and well being.

As much as I hated that Jacob is the one comforting Bella with his warmth it is Edward who shines in this scene. For all that we have already discussed. His selflessness is one of his traits that I adore about him, among many others.

Yes...but at the same time I look at it that although he is 17 don't you think Edward as well as the rest of the Cullens would have to make some changes so as to not draw too much attention that they don't age? Remember what he tells Bella when he invites her to his home...if they start out younger they can stay longer in one place. So I see the change in him following this logic...

Cait, I don't care either...and like I said it may have been all part of it...don't you think they would change things up a bit in order to not make anyone suspicious about not aging? Just my two cents...regardless it doesn't take anything away from the movies or my love for Edward Cullen!

Well thing of it is.. I think they wanted the cullens to look more appear more human then they were suppose to...
