It is from the book...I don't think it was when they were in the hotel room. The exact quote mentions laying against a wall and Marlena's head is on his shoulder...and she falls asleep. I can't remember where that was...I bet Cait will know!

It's not from the hotel room no even though it sounds like it would be. I'm struggling to remember why he said that I know they were holding hands and she fell asleep on him but my tired mind can't think of why lol I'll figure it out ha

Now this is from the hotel scene and i adore this passage

I also remember in the book how Marlena was afraid of August and his outbursts and that she could bear his touch....imagine having to be in that kind of relationship.

Yeah I can't imagine that he was her escape and he turned into her nightmare and it wasn't until Jacob came into the picture did she know there could be something better
