She was telling Edward to stop Bella because she knew if Bella hurt Jacob she would be upset with herself...Edward said to his mother that it was fine...

I doubt the new Bella would be upset though right about hurting Jacob unless I could be wrong about that since I mean when Bella turned vamp, when I read the books, I always thought that she seemed distant to Jacob ever since.......but that's another topic.
But Edward didn't stop Bella from trying to hurt Jacob right even though Esme wanted him to? __________________

No Edward didn't stop her in face he loved it. Esme was just so concerned that she would becupsetvif she did hurt Jacob.

If I were Edward, I wouldn't stop Bella from going after Jacob either. Esme just is the type who prefers to settle things in a more peaceful way I suppose.

Edward has every right to not give a damn about Jacob though, the latter is nothing but a cocky ass. I think Esme has just always been nice to Jacob even offering him food when he first came to the cullens so I'm not surprised if she wants to try to make Edward and the others get along with Jacob.

I still haven't had the chance to watch my BD Part 2 dvd yet but I will try to in the coming weeks. I'm guessing Esme had a pretty active part to play in the final battle scene with the Volturi right? And did she get to train with the nomads in the fight-training scene?
