It seems impossible with social media for FF to really thrive again sadly.

You have to be lucky to have a few loyal posters.

Twitter & Tumblr just really have hurt it.

LJ was the first years ago.

^ The issue is that it's really not many consistent posters enough to keep this board up and running for a longer period. Only way would be if I did a lot of double/triple posting.

I do love being the mod here but I don't want to have to do ALL the work. I want to post for fun and not have it as a job. And at times it starts feeling like that.
I do want the Soaps Board to survive though but I just hope that more fans come around for it can last.

I do agree with the other social media sites though, it's hurt so many boards and many who use to be on just left.

It's just put on low post count right?

Last month post counts didn't matter b/c of holidays.

It will be under low post count and than it will go through the 6 month trail of if the board goes 48 hours without a post or in low post count again within the 6 months than it will be admittedly shut down.

I'd rather just avoid all of that.

I agree that twitter and tumblr and instagram have all hurt message boards. I personally enjoy boards more because it allows for more in depth conversation. I see a lot of back and forth on twitter, but it's usually a few lines of people hurling insults at each other over shipper stuff.

Well I do have twitter discussion through messaging... because twitter now has a group messaging thing. lol I only found out because I was added to a group. lol

Also, Tumblr have a messaging thing.....

So, makes it more easier for fans to move there.
