Days Classic Unique Supercouple (Jack♥Jennifer) #4: "You're the only girl who's ever stolen my heart."
Welcome to the 4th Days Classic Unique Supercouple (Jack♥Jennifer Deveraux) App. Thread  Days at last has a Supercouple worth shouting about! - TV Guide (1990)  JnJ have their first Supercouple moment.     I Believe In You Full Gifset Jack&Jennifer had the most unique love story from Days.- We Love Soaps  Jack&Jennifer are considered to be the last true successful Supercouple from Days. - We Love Soaps JnJ won Days Best Supercouple Of All -Time Soap Opera Update (1991) Jack♥Jennifer Love Story Jack Deveraux abandoned his political ambitions and became controlling owner of The Spectator, Salem's local newspaper. This was where he first became involved with college intern Jennifer Horton. Jennifer was involved with Emilio Ramirez but the more she demanded the truth from Jack and called him on the wrongs he committed, the more he secretly fell for her. When Jennifer wanted to help a jail-bound woman named Sally, whose baby daughter was going to go into foster care. Jack concocted the idea of a fake marriage so they could take care of the baby. It didn't work out as planned but Jennifer ended up taking care of the baby for a while, and Jack's interactions with her endeared him to Jennifer along with his mission to help Steve and Kayla. They ultimately fell in love. Many other complications ensued including the return of Emilio along with mysteries and adventures, but Jack and Jennifer finally married. They later had children Abigail and Jack Jr. Jack (supposedly died again) a hero saving his daughter's life. IMPACT: Jack and Jennifer are considered to be the last true successful "Supercouple" from DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Their story was unique in the sense that there was a tragic but comedic element at the forefront. Jack was tormented by his past (the rape of Kayla and learning he was really Steve's long lost brother) but was inspired to be a better man thanks to Jennifer. We watched them match wits, and it was fun. The couple won Soap Opera Digest Awards as Favorite Supercouple in 1991, and then Best Wedding and Best Love Story in 1992. Days Best Supercouple Of All -Time Soap Opera Update as well. (1991) When DAYS OF OUR LIVES "re-booted" the show in 2011, they brought Melissa Reeves and Matthew Ashford on to the canvas once again to play out the Jack and Jennifer story. The fact that the show has continued to bring Ashford back (despite always firing him later) is a testament to the power and impact of the original Jack and Jennifer love story.- We Love Soaps “Many fans had Days parties. JER really wanted them together. There isn't anything really JnJ on that channel. Lots Austin & Jennifer moments. I couldn't bring myself to watch anything that had them in the title. Jack not notices Jennifer's haircut is so dumb but that's JER. I just will never understand why like Missy said he hated Jack in the JnJ pairing.  __________________

I think SL BC posts here from time to time. She does have good videos that go well with the clips and songs.
Yeah they were definitely hinting at Jennifer and Austin. Him being the donor of Abby's bone marrow was dumb. Wouldn't her parents be a better match? Whatever. At the time Jack had most of his scenes with Kate and Billie. It seemed like they were hinting at a Jack/Kate potential affair but instead wrote out MA instead. The Austin kisses Jennifer clip is gross but it could've been worse. The writing is really stupid though. Like why would Jennifer and Austin need to kiss on a talk show to prove a lipstick they are selling is kiss proof? Couldn't you just show it on your hand or something? Ridiculous. Although I did like that Jennifer was imagining it was Jack she was kissing and kept seeing his face instead, but still ridiculous that she kept kissing Austin. Whatever. I wasn't a fan of the haircut at this stage when she first cut it. It looks like a helmet here, but I didn't mind Missy with shorter hair. It looked good when she grew it out a bit with Peter (I haven't seen many clips of them for obvious reasons but just from little screen gabs and YT videos I've run across). I think MA said in an interview that JER didn't understand the appeal of the Jack character nor how to write him.
