^ I think my issue here as you mentioned is that Ben hasn't really dont anything technically good. lol He just fell in love with Ciara... okay.... ANNNNDDDD??? I just don't see where else he did was good... and I think that's my issue even i I can enjoy CIN scenes from here and there but don't ship it much.

I'll see what happens.

ICAM. It was what made them interesting, it was dark, forbidden and SINFUL. Rather than explore it, his darkness, conflict and her being drawn to it. They whitewashed the whole thing by making him save Ciara countless times. Ciara's "feelings" for Ben are in themselves a mystery. Especially after she carried on with Tripp for so long. You're right, she has no personality. She's Ben's cheerleader and she can't be that if she uses her brain.

With Jack, he had so much to overcome before he could be with Jennifer, be acknowledged by Steve, not only was he having to regain acceptance from the town but forgiving himself. It was a powerful, well handled arc.

Ben the "hero" is a joke. They should've let him still grapple with the darkness and see all facets of him and even be angry at herself for feeling the way she does. They've painted them as this Disney couple and I'm disappointed because in the beginning, I was so invested.
