I think it's a two-part reason JT fit so well into playing Billy. He had the bonus of being able to most likely pick Billy Miller's mind about the character as the most popular portrayer to fill the role. Then he also had some years of experience of playing Patrick the player on GH which he was able to bring to life as Billy unlike the other replacements before him who lacked being able to play that side of the Billy that viewers became accustomed to.

Completely agreed.

Billy made the role so popular. Of course David Tom was successful as the young Billy but as I mentioned, the role outgrew him and after Billy Miller portrayal, he didn't have a chance.

And I love GH, but GH was holding Jason Thompson acting talents way back.

Speaking of GH Patrick was mentioned on-screen at New Year by Robin. He was meant to be in PC but conviently got called back to whereever it was they moved.

I had a good chuckle at that knowing there was no way he'd be shown even if still in PC because well you know.

Great that they didn't kill him off.

I liked Patrick, even if I feel his talents were getting so wasted the last few years.

I forget which number Billy that JT is too. I think he might be number 4 because I only remember 3 others; David, Billy and Burgess.

He really is so much like Adam they were/are both screw-ups. They could've been friends if circumstances had been different.

JT is probably 7.0 since they added (and others) in.

There has only really been 3 accapted Billy Abbott's though.

David Tom for the early Billy days when he had the thing with Mac and everything!
Of course Billy Miller since he made the role his own and OWNED the role.

And Jason Thompson has been very accepted since he took over the role.

Also, agreed with Adam and Billy, they could've been called, "Screw-Up Truths Association"

Yeah.

Which is why I think Jason Thompson will be the last accepted Billy Abbott at this point.

Like if he decided to leave in the future, they need to right Billy leaving town... Too many Billy's to get use to.

I wouldn't be shocked to see Jason leave in a year if they keep him in these bad storylines where he can't showcase his acting like he was doing at the beginning...

^ This has got to be the last Billy they cant recast again. It took long enough to get one that's largely accepted by viewers/fans so if they were to lose JT I'd say make it a good worthy exit and permanently rest the character.
