I have to say, I'm not crazy about harry potter but my gf is trying to get me into it. What about the second film put you off the others?

I just lost interest. The Harry Potter movies were a bit juvenile for me at the time. I was more into The Lord of the Rings, and I didn't want to get into a movie series that was gonna go on for seven or eight films.

I gave up on Pirates of the Caribbean after the second film as well.
