Ted&Robin would've lasted longer if they followed Lily&Marshall's example. They should've tried compromising each other when Ted was trying to move in with Robin.

Yeah, but the writers had to have their misdirection, Mary.
 I didn't think it was fair to make the two couples so uneven. Ted and Robin deserved to have what Lily and Marshall had, and for longer than they had it. Making them wait 20 years seemed too much.__________________
