I've heard of that. The ants are called siafu, or "driver ants." I've heard stories of them eating large animals, but only after the animals are already dead. There was a story of Siafu who were found covering a man's body and eating it, but it was not certain if the man wasn't already dead from some other cause by the time the ants got to him. __________________

Cruise - tourism
It's frightening. I am a bit scared of red ants because I was bitten twice in India and I had to go to the hospital due to allergic reaction. |

Yeah, I heard red ants are a pain.  I'm sorry you had to go through that.  Bullet ants have the biggest mandibles, and I've heard their bite feels like a gunshot, hence the name.__________________

Vacation - holiday
My friends were bitten too but didn't have any problem. I must be more sensitive to their bite. Happily I never had this problem in Europe. |
